OperAffinity is a nonprofit association dedicated to making opera and classical music more accessible, understood, and appreciated by diverse audiences. Founded in 2019, we believe music can transform lives and unite communities across borders.

Originating in the UK and Italy, we’ve grown into a global platform creating opportunities for young musicians—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—to study, perform, and connect internationally. Through education programmes, festivals, workshops, and concerts, we support the next generation of classical artists while promoting cultural exchange and community engagement.
OUR CAUSES
OperAffinity creates transformative musical experiences for children, families, and communities around the world. Through festivals, high-level concerts, and inclusive programmes, we bring opera and classical music to thousands, breathing new life into the art form while engaging and exciting new audiences.
OperAffinity gives youth the chance to experience and participate in opera and classical music. We reach remote and underserved communities around the world, bringing this art form to those who might otherwise never encounter it. Our work goes beyond performance - we use music as a tool for healing, empowerment, and connection, particularly for children from marginalised backgrounds.
Most recently, a young Kenyan aspring opera singer who took part in an OperAffinity programme was invited to travel to Rome and perform at the Vatican - a life-changing experience. Another young musician, having joined one of our initiatives, is now preparing to audition for an opera house in Germany. These stories are just two examples of how OperAffinity opens doors, nurtures talent, and transforms lives through music.
